Recent Update to Version: 2.6.8 – 6/22/2023: Gallery shows text below the images

Hi there

I searched for ages, but I couldn’t figure out how to change the text of an article back before the gallery instead of below.

Before the old version (before the update to Version: 2.6.8 – 6/22/2023) it looked like this:

Is there a way to change the template “Gallery” for all in WordPress? Or do I need to change some HTML/PHP files? In any case, I would be thankful for your help, I can’t imagine it should be a big change. I am a programmer myself, so you can give me instructions to change code as well.

Sorry for the trouble. I don’t know how to help you. I need to know the version before the update firtsly.
What is the old version? Is 1.x? Or when you built the website via Arnold theme?

Maybe I need to check your website, it should be a faster way to help you. Could you please leave your wp-admin access (URL / username/password) by picking up “Set as private reply”?

Thank you for providing the information. I have checked your website. Your website was previously using Version 1, which cannot be upgraded to Version 2 (please refer to this article for the reasons). The latest version of Version 1 is 1.8.6.2, and I have performed the upgrade on your website. You mentioned that the issue has been fixed.

Additionally, I noticed the presence of Mixed Content issues on some webpages, which is causing problems with switching tabs in the theme options. This can be fixed using certain plugins (such as this one). If you agree, I can assist you in fixing it. Please feel free to leave a message if you have any questions or concerns.

So what should we do now? The main page now shows an empty white page, it doesn’t seem like ficed to me?

The Arnld 2 worked almost with two issues (couldn’t change favicon and change in gallery the text before images). But true there might have been more. So you suggest to go with 1.8.6.2? But that seems to use an old PHP or something, hence I updated to Arnold 2 (I even purchased this for a lot of money…)

The current state is blank website (check karinspaeti.ch). What should I do? Can you please fix either to the old version or revert back to as before.

Please make sure that no data is lost, there is lots of information there.

Hi,

Your website is currently working well except for the home page. I checked the other web pages, and they all worked normally. Because there is really no content on the home page, it is an empty white page. If the home page has content before, it may have been accidentally deleted during an editing, and if you have recently made a backup (some server host providers provide automatic backup), you can restore the previous data. If there is no backup data, you can only re-create a home page.
I just checked your site and absolutely did not modify the existing pages/posts of your site.
I have fixed the error message you posted.

I see, I had to create the main page new, and now there is the content again (came from the downgrade of the Theme). Three points.

1. But I still have some issues, when going on the main page, the whole header and menu are not shown (e.g. logo on the left, filter for the photo list, and burger or menu). If I smaller the window on my desktop, I get the burger and the menu appears, but not when the window is bigger. I can’t seem to change that on the options, do you have any idea? It seems that in the background are still some settings stored from the Arnaud 2 theme upgrade (I’m only guessing).

3. Could I get a refund for buying the Arnold 2 Theme as I can’t use it at all now? Would be much appreciated.

Hi,

I fixed the issues 1/2. The logo fields on theme options is empty. I don’t know which image should be set as the logo, so there is no logo on the header bar. Please upload a logo on theme options, and it will work.

All look like before now. I’m super happy that at least nothing has been lost. I appreciate your help very much. I will try to ask for a refund for the new theme, but so far, all is good. I hope the error is not returning, but let’s see. You can see this ticket as resolved for now.
