Hi,
I installed this theme and imported the dark demo. It took a few attempts before it worked, but I’m still experiencing some issues with the theme that aren’t on the official/advertised demo on themeforest.net.
Website – https://sakuracreative.co.uk
So far I’ve noticed –
1. The pages load very slow, particularly on portfolio items. This needs to be resolved urgently.
E.g. GTmetrix says it takes almost 7 seconds to load. And it produces an error on Google Page Speed Insights.
https://gtmetrix.com/reports/sakuracreative.co.uk/WytiK51G/2. The header (logo and menu) transition jumps too much when you scroll down, and then scroll up to the top of the page. It should be smooth like on the demo advertised.
3. The blog page returns a 404 error.
https://sakuracreative.co.uk/blog/4. The next and previous arrows aren’t displaying in portfolio single pages.
I hope you can help to resolve these. Thanks.
March 10, 2023 at 3:05 pm #29069Hi there,
Welcome to SeaTheme forum.1. I checked the portfolio page. I have no idea for now. Is there other 3rd plugins running on your wordpress, please try to stop to check again. Please let me know the result. Maybe I need to check your wordpress if necessary. Thanks.
2. Please check if there is number for the sticky header height on theme options. Try to enter numbers.
3. Is there a page named Blog on your wordpress(the slug name of Blog page should be blog also)? Do not select any page for “Posts page” on Settings/Reading page
4. The next/prev is built by Post navigation(check how to add it).
ps: there is pre-made template, check the 2nd video guide here, please make sure the same category is selected for the Post navigation—————
If it doesn’t work, may I check your website? Could you please leave your wp-admin access (URL / username/password) by picking up “Set as private reply”?Regards!
SeaTheme – FAQs – WordPress Customization – FacebookMarch 10, 2023 at 5:11 pm #29070Thanks for your quick reply. I’ll send over my login details privately after this. I’ve temporarily put the site under maintenance mode for now.
1. The only plugins I’m using are the ones the theme requires, and it’s still very slow.
Please compare the GTMetrix speed scores of the themes –https://gtmetrix.com/reports/sakuracreative.co.uk/WytiK51G/
https://gtmetrix.com/reports/sakuracreative.co.uk/T9mb1bCj/
https://gtmetrix.com/reports/air.seatheme.net/SiWZIuC3/
https://gtmetrix.com/reports/air.seatheme.net/BKzqANa9/2. This did resolve the header issue.
3. The only page named ‘Blog’ is the one imported from the demo. No page has been selected as a “Posts page” in the settings.
4. I see. I’ll leave this for now then.One other issue I’ve noticed –
5. The footer doesn’t display on individual portfolio item pages, even though it’s set to display in the CMS?Thanks.

I have checked the wordpress on wp-admin. I did not have clues for questions 1/3/5. I did not reproduce questions 3/5 on my local and demo servers. I think it maybe caused by some cache setting on host server, you can try to look for the settings(search the keyword cache, optimize, etc ) on your host cPanel and disable it. I tried to re-test the portfolio page on gtmetrix, but it returns 503 errors(check screeshot). Please check if there a security setting on your website server cPanel, disable it also.Regards!
SeaTheme – FAQs – WordPress Customization – FacebookMarch 11, 2023 at 1:57 pm #29078Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I tried clearing the cache again with LiteSpeed cache, and the site seems to be loading much faster now. The error you got on GTMetrix was because the site was in maintenance mode.
The blog issue has also been fixed. Strangely there was another folder named blog in the website root.
However still unsure why the footer / copyright text isn’t displaying on the portfolio item pages…
March 11, 2023 at 2:55 pm #29079Hi,
I noticed the PHP version is 8.x, you can try to downgrade the PHP version to 7.4.x on your website server host cPanel and check again.
ps:
I also found that there are still some problems with the imported content. For example, you may find that the text content in the text editor is different from in live mode, so you should delete this module and add a new one.Regards!
SeaTheme – FAQs – WordPress Customization – FacebookMarch 11, 2023 at 3:31 pm #29080Hi,
Yes I did try experimenting with different PHP versions before. 7.4 and 7.2 seem to crash the site.
I get this error –
“Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.”I doubt changing the PHP version will fix the footer issue though?
Yes I noticed some issues with the import, which was why I wanted to check whether the things I highlighted were related. I had to make multiple attempts to get the import to resemble the live demo version. And this was as close as I could get it. Maybe providing the files + database of your current live demo would be easier.
I don’t mind if images/text are different to the demo, as I’ll be changing all that anyway. I just wanted to make sure all the elements and structure of the pages were the same so that I can add my own content. Thanks
March 12, 2023 at 8:05 am #29081Hi,
PHP 7.4 is the official version recommended by WordPress, I suggest you try again. You can check to See If the MySQL Extension Is Installed. It maybe not the reason of the footer option issue. But it may cause other question, our user meet a inserting template with PHP 8
The import problem is an independent problem and should not be related to problems 1-5. But if you want, I can help you re-import the data by anther way, but it will overwrite all the databases (posts, images, settings, landing page, etc). If you agree, please leave the FTP account by picking up “Set as private reply”.
Regards!
SeaTheme – FAQs – WordPress Customization – FacebookMarch 12, 2023 at 2:10 pm #29082Hi,
I’ve managed to downgrade the PHP version to 7.4 now. Though it hasn’t changed anything on the site that I can see. Just to note, while PHP 7.4 is the minimum version recommended by WordPress, support for 7.4 ended in November 2022. Websites running on the latest WordPress version should ideally upgrade to PHP 8 to maintain strong security.
Thanks for looking into this. I’d rather not have to import all the data again as I’ve done some work on the site already, and don’t want to have to re-include everything. I can send you over FTP details to a clone of the current site for you to investigate the cause of the footer issue.

Air Theme > Theme Options > Show a Generic Section on Bottom of Single Project Page (turn off)
Seems you had a setting that hid the main footer on these pages.
One other thing, is there a way to customise the portfolio archive page? For instance on your demo it has a sidebar. I couldn’t find any information about this in the FAQs. –
https://air.seatheme.net/dark/project/Thanks.
March 13, 2023 at 1:27 am #29086Hi,
Thanks for the report, I just checked the Bottom section and it should be 2 complementary parts with the footer. The footer works fine no matter if it is enabled or disabled on my local server. I don’t understand why it works on your site. The problem is likely to be caused by something else.
There is only sidebar options for portfolio archive layout on theme options. If you wish to further customize the archive page, please add a new Page, use BM content builder(Grid module) to build it. Install a redirect plugin, redirect the archive URL to the new page URL.
Regards!
SeaTheme – FAQs – WordPress Customization – FacebookMarch 17, 2023 at 1:36 pm #29096Thanks. 🙂 I’d rather not use a redirect but if I want to make more changes I’ll build a custom archive template.
